I believe most of us hear the word life coach and be excited that they will lead us to our dreams. That’s true but you have to be part of that journey, they help you process your thoughts, think through your plans thoroughly and I mean thoroughly and help you think outside the box. Val has been that to me. I remember our first session she had to explain to me about this coaching stuff and the how different it is from mentorship. She has really helped me understand myself more, understand where I want to be in the next five years and how to get there. She has guided me through my career growth and am working to be better everyday It’s not a one day job but it’s worth your time. Thank you Val for the awesome sessions and I look forward to send you the results of those sessions

What is it like for you when you're meeting someone new? What is it Iike for you when you're going out to find yourself? For me; Finding me was made beautiful and meaningful by one Valentine Mokeira. You must be wondering why or how. Well, every successful person out there advices you to have a mentor. How many however talk about having a Coach? To what effect? Miss Mokeira and myself had a career and life coaching that has not only helped me look at things differently but also mend my relationships with friends, family and colleagues. As a research assistant at the time, working virtually, it was difficult to create and maintain healthy relations and proper communication With my supervisors and colleagues. Coaching allowed me to figure out why and eventually how to make amends. This made my working environment a space I looked forward to being. I perceived a coach to be stern and always put on a poker face but this was an entirely different experience. She has been warm, giving me an opportunity to speak up, flexible, making my opinion feel valued and kind. Her Smiley face always gives me a reason to find happiness in the things I am doing or do things that bring me happiness. My relationship with my family, especially parents hasn't been the best. Not that we fight or have lots of misunderstandings but I had always felt a "disconnect". Miss Mokeira guided me through getting to the root cause of this feeling and walking out of it. Today, we communicate better with my parents and more often. We have created an environment of friendship and love. I appreciate that she enlightened me to a better understanding of my personality through a comprehensive personality test. I believe that she took her time to understand my need and sIowly walked me through finding the most viable solutions. I am confident in my perception and analysis of situations going forward. I am because we are! I am Rose Poka, A humanitarian, volunteer, treacher, research assistant and passionate about young people and the environment.
